Your Catholic Wedding Planning Your Wedding Music |
|
The most important part of your wedding day is the celebration of the wedding ceremony. As a couple you have the opportunity to plan the ceremony in a way that is personal and most of all an expression of your faith lives. The wedding ceremony may celebrated in either of two settings. One way is as a Ceremony only and the other way is with the ceremony as part of a Nuptial Mass. The choice is yours. The Church offers many options in prayers and readings for you to choose from for both settings. A booklet entitled "Together for Life" "I be given to each couple to guide you in understanding the Church's ritual for the wedding ceremony. The priest or deacon officiating at your wedding will assist in your planning. You would generally plan the specifies of your ceremony sometime after Pre Cana so that all is ready by the rehearsal date.

Wedding Music
It is customary to celebrate your wedding ceremony with musical accompaniment, both vocal and instrumental. Music adds depth and reverence to the celebration as it assists our prayer and helps to offer fitting worship to God. Our parish Music Ministry is dedicated to helping your celebration. We have a fine representation for vocals and accompaniment. In order to guide your planning our ministry "I conduct Music Sessions throughout the year for couples to attend and learn what music is available and how to choose appropriate music for your wedding ceremony. The following schedule is for the music sessions that will be held during the 2001-2002 season. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend one of these sessions. For any other questions concerning music for your wedding please contact our Parish Music Director, Therese Blanton (642-9287). |
