Fr. Paul Dolan , Associate Pastor
Fr. Paul Dolan , Associate Pastor

Father Paul Dolan was born in Manhattan, New York in 1950. As a youngster his family moved to Greenlawn where Father still maintains the family home.

Father Paul first attended grammar school at St. Philip Parish in Northport but was transferred to St. Anthony of Padua School in East Northport when that school opened for its parishioners. He graduated there in 1965. Father loved being in the choir and being an altar server.

Even as a youngster Father Paul felt a strong attraction to a religious vocation and so he began his high school years in St. John’s Atonement Seminary. This minor seminary was conducted by the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in Montour Falls, New York. A beautiful town in the finger Lake Region of New York State. While attending the seminary for four years, Father Paul was sent to Notre Dame High School in Elmira, New York for his senior year. He graduated with a New York State Regents diploma in 1969.

College days began at Siena College in Loudonville, New York. Four very happy and formative years as only a Franciscan Education can provide. Father Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He graduated in 1973.

While a religious vocation would be his ultimate goal, Father Paul spent a year doing clerical work for Catholic Charities in Washington, D.C.

>From 1975 to 1979 Father Paul served in the United States Capitol Police Force, which serves for the protection of members of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

In 1979 he returned to Long Island and enter the seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington. His training consisted of four academic years and a pastoral year spent at St. Boniface Parish in Elmont. Father Paul was ordained to the priesthood May 12, 1984 and holds a Master of Divinity degree from the seminary.

Before arriving here at Infant Jesus, Father had served in St. Anne’s Parish, Garden City; St. Raphael Parish, East Meadow; St. Joseph Parish, Kings Park; Corpus Christi Parish, Mineola; and St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Montauk.

When you see Father Paul around the parish you will undoubtedly meet his loyal and loveable companion “Teddy”! Teddy is Father’s little dog who along with Father Paul will be happy to greet you!
