I was born in Queens, comming to Suffolk County to attend Nursing
School at the Kings Park Psychiatric Center. While I was in
Nursing School I met my husband Neal. Presently I work as a
school nurse in an elementary school in a local school district.
When we became members of Infant Jesus parisah in 1977 I
resumed teaching Religious Education classes. This was somthing
that I had been doing since I was a teen-ager. The Youth Minister
at the time asked if my family would act as chaperones on the
youth ministry sponsored ski trips. We were happy to volunteer.
This opened the door to youth ministry for me. When the youth
minister left the parish for another job, Father Bob and I
continued the trips. Then we decided to expand our occasional
trip to a full youth ministry program.
In the past 12 years I have cocme to realize that the young
people of this parish have so much to share with the Infant
Jesus community. They make me proud to be a part of the youth
group. I just wish that they would share their energy with me.
We are always looking new faces to join our mass team, youth
choir and of course to join us at our meetings. I am a firm
believer in the expression, "try it you'll like it."
