"Good afternoon, Infant Jesus Rectory, this is Kathy, how can I help you?" That's how I meet most people in my job as Parish Secretary/Receptionist.

I was born in Augusta, Maine and resided there until my early teens when my family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. When I was 18 years old I joined the Navy. While I was in boot camp I attended my first Mass. After I got out of the Navy I moved to Rocky Point, Long Island, where I studied the Catholic faith at St. Anthony of Padua Church and was baptized on a Christmas Eve.

In 1981 Father George Murphy, S.J. and I opened an Alcoholism Counseling Center in Rocky Point. From 1982 to 1989 I worked with Father Frank Gaeta at St.Anthony's Church in Rocky Point as the evening receptionist, bookkeeper, and bulletin editor. For two years I worked days with Sister Rosella as the secretary at St. Isidore School in Riverhead.

In 1989 I came to work at Infant Jesus Church with Msgr. Dennis Regan, as pastor. Over the past eighteen years my duties have included assisting all callers and visitors to the rectory office, record keeping, bulletin editor and rectory office management. I currently work with the most wonderful priests and staff in the diocese.
